senior session 9.15.17 [a]

Where does the time go? It wasn’t all that long ago that I was meeting my niece for the first time. Certainly not so long ago that she could be a senior in high school!? But here she is–all grown up and getting ready to embark on a new season of life. I don’t typically do senior sessions but I sure did enjoy them and of course the time with her.

My prayers for my niece (and any young woman really) is to know who you are first and foremost in God’s eyes.   You are His precious child and loved fiercely by Him–far more than any person on this planet could ever love you. You were bought at a steep price, the death of His son, because of His great love for you. Keep Him in your thoughts, speak to Him in your prayers, allow Him to speak to you through His Word, and you WILL find great joy in this life as you learn to live for Him and not for yourself (or anyone else for that matter). Things won’t always be easy, no, but if you seek Him in every circumstance, big and small, He will not lead you astray. And there is purpose in it all–the laughter and the tears, the triumphs and the failures. I love you girl!

Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”
