One day in October I was driving down a road I frequent often and saw the most glorious forest set ablaze in yellow. I’ve never seen anything like it. I wanted to take a picture right then and there, sure I’d never see anything like it again—which i haven’t and am still sure I won’t. That’s the thing about light. There are once in a lifetime moments. Time of year, time of day, atmosphere, location, and environment all play off of each other and that’s a lot to line up exactly the same. But on that day there just wasn’t time. It was my Tuesday hustle. I was hustling to get kids off the bus after grocery shopping. But i came back and this is what we found. It was still glorious.
